I just re-read Denying History. When I bought DH I felt in a funny way ashamed; buying a book “defending” a historical fact. The arguments presented in DH are not new; the power of the book is the very logical and methodical way the arguments are presented.
The second “power” is that the “deniers” are treated in a very dignified way.

L.A Rollins is a drunk Fool it is his nature(insanity)to try and peddle his own garbage when no one is buying the B.S.
Do you think Ted Kaczynski knew he was crazy, seems they are very similar mentally except for a degree in mathematics vs. philosophy.If I had to pick a reason for their words & actions I would be going with insanity,thats my best guess.

For anyone who wants to find some heavily, reliably researched answers to the questions of “God” read GOD’S PROBLEM by Bart Ehrman ISBN978-0-6-117397-4). The subtitle is “How the Bible Fails to Answer Our Most Important Question – Why We Suffer” but it’s reach is much broader in terms of explaining Xity. I was extremely skeptical about this book until I turned the last page. It answers questions about “God” and all associated issues. Ehrman graduated with high honors from conservative schools Moody Bible Institute (Chgo) and Wheaton College (Illinois), pastored a Baptist church for years and received a Ph.D. from Princeton, also with high honors. He continued to probe lingering questions, and finally unable “to reconcile the claims of faith with the facts of real life,” rejected Christianity. His research is in-depth, thorough, uncanny in detail, reading from and explaining the original Biblical languages. For most of my life answers to questions about Xity have gone unanswered. Ehrman’s books (earlier MISQUOTING JESUS) provides answers based on hard, methodical research. Those who have lingering questions about Christianity and its “truth” should read Ehrman’s. It’s changed my thinking and (as trite as it sounds), my life.

I think the nazi germany killed many jews but the number was not 6 million…It was exagerrated for political reasons….and it was not only jews who were killed it was anybody who were against the nazi regime…but people think it was only jews…

Its amazing how much love Christ betows on us. How can one deny that there is a God who loves his Children. Sure we go through hard times. I have gone through so many trials to even count but I know and feel Gods love. And who are all these Christians who spread hate to homosexuals. Yes I believe living and active gay lifestyle is sin but I do not hate them one bit. I have gay friends and they are great people but they know my take on being homosexual and they do not feel hate form me at all. Shame on people who treat them like crap.

The problem today, or should I say has always been, that we are afraid to question the claims of religion. People trust that they will find comfort and answers within religion, and forget to have “faith” in themselves.

Even if Jesus was who christianity claims he was, can believers honestly say that he intended that the religion was to be formed to what it is today?
Hardly any female prests, there will never be a (coloured or not) female pope, and a constant hate towards homosexsuals?..

To many questions to be taken serioulsy.

To Jared. Atheists (scientists) have plenty of evidence for the non existence of God. God fails every test. Please read ‘God-the failed hypothesis’ by Victor J Stenger. A short and easy read but unbelievably valuable towards understanding. The burden of proof today is on the believers, not the scientists. If you claim sommething is real, you have to prove it. Personal testimonies are not proof. Regards.
